Lots of people feel unsure how to talk about dying – but talking to your friends and family about what you want to happen at the end of life is important. It might feel a bit uncomfortable, but knowing that your family and friends understand what you want can make you feel better.
The next COTA NSW Webinar will be part of Dying to Know Day. Come along and hear from our speakers Joan Hughes (President of COTA NSW), Dr Stephen Ginsborg (GP and Director of COTA NSW), Kerrie Noonan and Niki Read (both from the Death Literacy Institute) for a discussion about how to approach the conversation with your family and friends, what documents you should get prepared, and the basics of how to organise a funeral.
There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions, and it’s guaranteed you’ll learn something new!
The webinar will be a zoom event on Thursday 19 August at 10.30am. Register here and we will send you the log-in details.
And don’t forget – COTA NSW Community Speakers are also trained to speak to your group about death literacy, planning ahead and funerals – email Ross if you’d like to book a speaker in person (when lockdown ends) or on zoom (anytime!).
