Gwenda is a proud COTA NSW member, who advocates on behalf of her peers on Dementia Australia‘s Advisory Committee and the Aged Care Council of Elders. Gwenda was diagnosed with younger-onset dementia in 2012 but hasn’t let that stop her, ably assisted by her registered assistance dog Redleigh. Gwenda is pictured right with the NSW Minister for Seniors, Jodie Harrison MP.

Val Fell OAM is a proud COTA NSW Life Member, who continues to advocate on behalf of her peers well into her 90s!
Val is a retired maths teacher and statistician who remains active in her community and on the national stage as a member of the Aged Care Council of Elders. The council provides advice to the Australian Government about aged care and ageing well.
Val spoke to us at the 2025 NSW Seniors Expo in March Expo.
