Join the leaders in training older adults
Are you a qualified exercise professional with a keen interest in working with older people? Becoming a Living Longer Living Stronger instructor is a great opportunity to help people aged over 50 to improve their strength and balance, and to make a difference in your community.
Living Longer Living Stronger is an evidence-based strength and balance exercise program designed with universities, health professionals and people over 50 themselves. It will help older people stay strong, active and socially connected, and may be particularly beneficial for those who might otherwise feel isolated or unable to exercise.
Start your journey to become an accredited Living Longer Living Stronger instructor by enrolling in COTA NSW’s accreditation course.
The training is open to exercise physiologists, physiotherapists and fitness professionals (holding a Certificate III and/or IV in Fitness). It is delivered across two tiers – Tier 1 is for exercise physiologists and physiotherapists, and Tier 2 is for fitness professionals. All participants receive a suite of digital and hard copy manuals and resources.
For more information about the courses, contact NSW program Coordinator Kamilla Haufort on firstname.lastname@example.org or 02 8268 9602, or see below.
