Elfa joined the COTA NSW Board in March 2022. She is the CEO of SydWest Multicultural Services, a Director of Settlement Services International and a Director of the NSW Council of Social Services and she sits on a number of Advisory Committees across the sector. She has been involved in the sector for the past 30 years and has an extensive background in developing services for linguistically disadvantaged communities, with a focus on engaging community and stakeholder participation.

Elfa has a strong track record in strategic direction and innovation, problem solving and strong leadership skills that support high performance teams. She received the 2017 Blacktown Woman of the Year award for supporting women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in establishing businesses.

Passionate about her Greek heritage, Elfa is a founding member of the Greek and Greek-Cypriot Women’s Association, assisting women and children of the Black Sea. She was the first female Greek Australian ethnic media editor in NSW, and a member of the Greek-Australian Journalists Association Committee, which represented Australia to the Greek Government.

Elfa has a degree in Sociology and Modern Greek (Honours) from the University of NSW, an Associate Diploma of Applied Management and is a graduate of AICD.
