COTA NSW Legal Pathways

Assisting people to protect their assets and to plan for the future through proper legal channels

COTA NSW and Legal Aid NSW have formed a partnership to provide assistance to older persons needing to draft a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney or Enduring Guardianship

In an effort to assist people to protect their assets and to plan for the future through proper legal channels, COTA NSW and Legal Aid NSW have formed a partnership to provide assistance to older persons needing to draft a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney or Enduring Guardianship.

This project offers free consultations with solicitors to draw up documents for a fee of $50 per document to cover costs. Persons who receive an age pension or hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card are eligible to participate in the Legal Pathways project.

There are qualified solicitors available at the office of COTA NSW and in metropolitan Sydney and regional areas. As a ‘Pathway’ service, COTA NSW may be able to direct you to other legal services in your area, or an appropriate legal service that can assist with your specific situation.

"Thank you very much for putting us in contact with [solicitor]'s legal team. We've been there today and they were absolutely wonderful and treated my mum and I both with the utmost respect and dignity. I just wanted to thank you very much for helping us out."
