2017 Budget reinstates Pensioner Concession Card

Released: 05-Jun-2017

Event Date: to

As an outcome from the May Budget, 92,000 pensioners, who lost their Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) as a result of the January 2017 re-balancing on the asset threshold test, will now have their cards returned.

All eligible pensioners who lost their PCC in January this year will receive a replacement card from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) in the mail. There is no re-application or registration process required as Centrelink is simply reversing the action taken earlier in the year. We understand the Department will commence sending out the cards in October this year.

We will keep you updated as we find out more details.
