Countering ageism with The Little Book of Good Things

We were delighted to have our latest publication, The Little Book of Good Things, launched by the Minister for Seniors, Jodie Harrison MP, at NSW Parliament House before an audience of COTA NSW members and fellow parliamentarians. It was a wonderful celebration of the strength, spirit and everyday contributions of older people in NSW.

Thank you to our wonderful COTA NSW members who share their stories as we work together to ensure NSW is a great place to age. You’ll meet Bill, who uses his experience of dementia to help and support others with the condition. And Kim, a long-standing western Sydney GP turned climate advocate shares more of her story. Jill, who supports others with end-of-life care, features together with her granddaughter Georgia.

Also featured is Sonny, who has found new purpose back at work at Bunnings, and Uncles Widdy Welsh and Bobby Young, survivors of the Kinchela Boys Home, who now lead truth-telling and healing initiatives for their communities

Thanks to Bunnings for their generous support of the project and their commitment to supporting an older workforce who have so much to offer.

We hope you enjoy The Little Book of Good Things. Discover more and read in full by clicking here.
