COTA NSW’s volunteer advocates come together to discuss issues affecting older people and develop ways to address these issues. They connect with each other to share their stories, build their knowledge, decide which issues they want to work on and drive campaigns (with guidance and support from COTA NSW).
Advocates from across NSW come together once a month online. Each meeting is different, but they have a structured agenda to make sure no-one’s time is wasted.
We often have guest speakers on a range of issues, both age specific and not. There are also updates from advocates on their current activities and from COTA staff.
