Seniors Day Out at Sydney Royal Easter Show

Seniors Card members have been urged to take advantage of a range of free entertainment at the Sydney Royal Easter Show tomorrow.

Minister for Ageing Paul Lynch said the free entertainment was a thank you from the NSW Government to seniors.

“We value our seniors, particularly those who volunteer their time to make our communities so supportive,” Mr Lynch said.

“Their hard work is not always seen by everyone in the community but it is valued and honoured once again through our Seniors Days,” he said.

Almost 1 million people in New South Wales are Seniors Card members.

The Seniors Card program has the support of thousands of business partners who offer discounts to members.

Members who visit the Big Top Amphitheatre at Sydney Showground tomorrow will receive free live entertainment, tea and coffee and promotional bags.

Five hours of entertainment, including dance, song, acting and musical theatre is on offer from Entertainment Express, The Performance Studio and The Spaghetti Circus, between 10am and 3pm.

More than 50 exhibitors are also offering Seniors Card member discounts and specials on items ranging from orthotics and cosmetics to leather goods and pet products.

Card members also have the opportunity to win prizes including two Gold Service tickets on the Indian Pacific from Sydney to Adelaide.

Members also receive a $6.50 discount on their Showlink entry-transport ticket to the Show. Tickets include travel on CityRail, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus services, regular Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries services.
