COTA Australia is looking for consumers and carers to be involved in a lived experience advisory panel for a new and exciting project. Running over two years, the project will develop and adapt tools, methodology and a platform to push consumer engagement across the aged care system.
If you or someone you care for, e.g. family member/partner/spouse, has received support from an aged care provider, in any setting such as in-home-based support (home care packages), aged care (nursing) home or an aged respite service, we are keen to hear from you.
The expert panel will meet at least quarterly and there will be a sitting fee for consumers and carers participating in this group. Training and support will be provided as well.
Please note: that while the majority of meetings will be via telephone, there will be limited travel involved, e.g. annually. Where travel is required, the Consumer Engagement in Aged Care project will cover the cost of travel and accommodation. Please let us know if travel will be a problem.
