Let’s talk about planning ahead
Have you thought about who would make decisions for you if you couldn’t make them for yourself?
Do you have any plans in place such as a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney, Enduring Guardianship or an Advance Care Directive?
If you don’t plan ahead you can’t be sure that your wishes for your future care and financial decisions will be recognised or followed. Planning ahead can help ensure that your wishes are followed.
We’ll be talking to people about how much they know about planning ahead tools and whether they have thought about making plans for the future.
Council on the Ageing NSW (COTA NSW) is the peak organisation for people over 50 in New South Wales.
Our policy team hosts meetings of Consumer Reference Groups to provide members of the public with an opportunity to share their views on policy issues.
If you want to know more about planning ahead and want to contribute your thoughts and ideas to the conversation please join Professor Colleen Cartwright at this consultation.
